Who is responsible
SleepApneaSelect is an independent comparison publisher, not a medical provider. One publisher is responsible for research, writing, publishing, and corrections, using AI tools as described below. There’s no newsroom, testing lab, or medical team behind the site, and we don’t present ourselves as having one.
Source standards
- We link the specific page that supports a consequential fact and show when we checked it.
- Clinical explanations rely on clinical guidance and regulators, such as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (opens in a new tab), the FDA (opens in a new tab), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (opens in a new tab).
- A provider’s or seller’s page supports what that organization says about its own prices and terms. We attribute those facts to it, and we don’t treat its marketing claims about accuracy, quality, or outcomes as established.
- Reviews, forums, ads, search snippets, and AI-generated answers aren’t evidence.
- We don’t invent sources, prices, reviews, experiences, or observations. If something can’t be verified, we say so or leave it out.
Our comparison method explains how sources are weighed and how prices are compared.
Medical boundaries
SleepApneaSelect helps you compare services and purchases. We don’t:
- diagnose sleep apnea or any other condition;
- interpret anyone’s sleep study, report, or AHI;
- recommend pressure settings or changes to treatment;
- decide whether someone qualifies for a test, treatment, or coverage; or
- guarantee insurance coverage or results.
Those decisions belong to qualified clinicians and insurers. When a caution matters, we keep it short and point to a useful next step.
Clinical review
No page on SleepApneaSelect has had a clinical review. Clinical statements cite published guidance, but no clinician has reviewed the site’s pages.
If a qualified clinician reviews a page, that page will name the reviewer, their relevant qualifications, what they reviewed, and when—only with their permission. The credit will apply only to the content they reviewed. A clinical review of an explanation doesn’t validate prices, seller terms, or other pages.
AI assistance and human review
We use AI tools to help research, draft, and edit pages, to organize source records, and to build and maintain this website.
AI output is never treated as a source. Each price, term, and clinical statement has to trace to a primary source that we link, so you can check it yourself.
Our standard is that the publisher reviews each page against its sources before it’s published, and the publisher is responsible for everything on the site. There’s no second editor or separate fact-checking team, so we don’t claim that every fact has been independently verified.
Dates and updates
- Comparisons show when their sources were checked. That date changes only after we actually recheck the sources.
- A page’s “last updated” date changes only with a meaningful content change. Rebuilding the site doesn’t change any date.
- When a recheck finds a changed price or term, we update the record, every page and calculation that uses it, and the check date.
Corrections
When we find or are told about an error, we check it against the source, fix the record and every page that uses it, and update the affected dates.
Substantive corrections—ones that change a price, a term, a calculation, or a clinical statement—are listed here with the date and what changed. Typo fixes aren’t listed.
No corrections have been published.

Updates from providers and readers
Providers, sellers, and readers can send updated terms or source evidence. We check it the same way we check any other source before changing a page, and a provider can’t pay to change what we publish about it.
